Downtown Crestview, Florida is historic, vibrant, and growing. It’s large enough to offer a variety of experiences, yet small enough that people smile and wave and know your name. Our city is a safe community, a thriving community, and an exciting community. We’re a great place to live, play, shop, invest...and, best of all, a great place to call home. Be a part of our downtown through the Main Street Crestview Association.

The Main Street Crestview Association is an organization that has a comprehensive revitalization program designed to encourage economic development in conjunction with historic preservation. In 1997, the City applied, and was approved, for a Main Street Program designation by Florida’s Secretary of State. This program is embraced nationwide and encompasses the tasks of scheduling and promotion of events such as block parties, downtown days, street festivals, parades, sidewalk sales and cultural events to cultivate and enhance downtown redevelopment. Additionally, the Association (a 501C3 not-for-profit corporation) was created in an effort to preserve, restore, and promote the unique historical character of our downtown area. The MSCA is working toward returning Crestview’s historic central downtown area to a thriving, active, lively community district with a stronger and ever expanding economic base. Main Street Crestview is a local, public-private partnership funded by memberships, event fees, fund-raising projects, and city government.

The Main Street Crestview Association attempts to bring development, activities, recognition and an improved economy to the historic downtown area through a variety of methods. The organization works on downtown improvements, creates a positive image to attract customers and investors, rekindles community pride, enhances the visual quality of the downtown environment, and attracts strategic additions to the economic mix of downtown Crestview. Working with the Florida Main Street Program office and the City of Crestview, the Main Street Crestview Association serves as an economic redevelopment tool using local capacity, skills, and assets. The MSCA has mobilized and now involves individuals, businesses, corporate supporters, and civic organizations in its revitalization efforts. The grass roots approach to the revitalization of the downtown Crestview area puts responsibility for success where it belongs --- in the hands of the community.
